Walk to Take Action on Climate ChangeDo you have one to two hours to help fight climate change?January 24, 25, or 31 Do you have one to two hours to walk a neighborhood in Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Redwood City, or Sunnyvale to help fight climate change? Acterra’s Green@Home program, in partnership with the cities mentioned above, is distributing flyers announcing its free HouseCall home energy savings program for residents in each of those cities. Groups are welcome! Join us to pick up flyers and maps to distribute on the following dates and locations: Sunnyvale: 9am-12pm, Saturday, January 24 at the Community Center Community Room, 550 East Remington, Sunnyvale. [map] Menlo Park: 1:30pm – 4:30pm, Saturday, January 24, at Trinity Parish, Trinity Hall, 330 Ravenswood Ave., Menlo Park. [map] Redwood City: 1pm-4pm, Sunday, January 25, at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Ave, Redwood City. [map]Palo Alto: 9am-12pm, Saturday, January 31, at two Palo Alto locations. More information coming. Volunteer walkers are invited afterwards at noon for a barbeque lunch prepared by firefighters. Green@Home HouseCalls help fight climate change by saving residents energy, money and CO2. Trained volunteers meet with residents in their homes to install simple energy-saving devices and create home energy conservation plans. Volunteers demonstrate environmentally friendly choices and foster a deeper awareness of the need for change. HouseCalls are available to all residents of the four cities whether you rent or own.
