We will discuss Propositions 23 and 26 (and what to do about them) and the City's ongoing Horizon 2035 process which will result in new land use and transportation plans and Sunnyvale's first Climate Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Moffett Field Bay Trail Opening. Monday, September 20, 10:30-noon, East Gate Moffett Field, Sunnyvale Side. To shuttle to the event, meet at the the Sunnyvale Water Pollution Control Plant, 1444 Borregas Avenue by 10:30. This link will provide a continuous pathway along the Bay from East Palo Alto to San Jose. Sunnyvale Mercury Thermometer Exchange and Med Drop. Wednesday, September 22, 11-1:30, Sunnyvale Senior Center, 550 E Remington Drive.Residents exchange their mercury fever thermometer (one per household) and receive a free non-mercury fever thermometer in return. To avoid breakage and contamination, mercury fever thermometers MUST be contained in an unbreakable and closed container such as its original case, a plastic toothbrush holder, or a soda/water bottle with a screw-on cap. As a second measure of protection, the closed container must be placed in a sealable plastic bag (zip-lock is fine). Other mercury-containing products will not be accepted at this event.
