Community Outreach Meeting: Revising Land Use and Transportation Plans

Fair Oaks Park Building.
The City of Sunnyvale is beginning to revise the Land Use and Transportation Element of the General Plan. Staff is seeking public input to inform the process.  Following a brief background powerpoint, attendees have the chance to voice their specific concerns around the following topics:  neighborhood issues, citywide issues, economy, health, sustainbility.  After the facilitated group discussion results in a list of concerns, residents are given three dots to vote for their highest priorities.

    Palo Alto Candle-light Vigil for Climate Action

    Kin Plaza,in front of Palo Alto City Hall.  350.org event.  Gather at King Plaza and walk to Anna Eshoo's office to deliver a thank you, photos from recent 350 events and letters urging bold movement on climate policy.  Return to King Plaza for speakers and to spell out 350 with our candles for a photo.  Our photos will be delivered to 350.org and included in the photos presented at Copenhagen.  Bring your own candle.  To RSVP:  http://www.350.org/node/13024

    Corner of Stevens Creek and De Anza Blvds (Cypress Hotel Plaza), Cupertino.  Join ohters from New York to Nigeria to Nepal, to mark the UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen and support a fair, ambitious and binding climate agreement.  Hot chocolate.  Sign-ups to train to conduct and/or receive a free home energy-efficiency audit.
